A Couple of Tips to Help You Prepare for Shoots That Include Hair & Makeup:
*Try to get some sleep the night before! The best secret for your makeup bag is a good night's sleep!*
*Be sure to moisturize your lips and body! Very important*
*Shaving/waxing is absolutely a personal choice. If you do, please do not wax the same day of your session due to redness and possible irritation. Shaving same day should be perfectly fine*
*If you like, nails/toenails painted can be a nice addition to the detail. When asked, I recommend black, white, gray, red, or french manicure for photos. However, these are your photos! So ultimately, just do what makes you feel good!*
*Unless your hair tends to get excessively oily, please DO NOT was your hair the day of your shoot. Unwashed hair tends to hold curl and texture better : )*
*Please come with your hair dry and ready to be styled*
*Please bring/wear a shirt that will be easy to pull over your head, a button down, or a robe to help decrease the possibility of messing up your hair and makeup*
A Couple of Tips to Help you Prepare for Family Sessions:
*Plan an outfit for the whole family that will be complimentary of one another and is weather appropriate*
*Plan your session on a day/time when children are most likely be well rested and more likely to smile and have fun
(No one is judging if you there's a milkshake incentive after the photoshoot : )*
*If your appointment is for a Newborn Session or if you have children 2 and younger, I prefer to come to you so that little ones are in a familiar area and can nap, go to the bathroom, have their needs easily met. This will help ensure the best experience for everyone!*
*As always Please reach out to me with any concerns!*
When Shooting Outdoors:
*Please bring a pair of boots for your comfort and safety in case we walk through fields that could have briars, mud, etc.
*Bringing a water bottle is a good idea*
*Don't forget to wear sunscreen when necessary!*
*Please be mindful of outdoor allergies when booking. Schedule for a time of year when your allergies do not tend to bother you or plan to take allergy medication before your session. Red, itchy eyes and sneezing faces are not the look we are trying to capture! : )
Thank you for your understanding*
*I will ask that we schedule for certain times of day in order to achieve optimal lighting*
